Cleaning Operative – Job Description

Location:Coleshill, Birmingham
Hours: Monday–Friday 3pm-6pm
Total:15 hours per week
Contract Type:Part‑time, Permanent
Work Location: On-site (client premises)

Role Overview

An exciting new vacancy has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join our team and provide a high‑quality cleaning service at one of our client sites in Coleshill. You will work independently on site, supported by a highly experienced facilities team who will ensure you have everything you need to succeed.

Your role is essential to delivering a first‑class customer experience and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of general cleaning, including:

    • Mopping

    • Vacuuming

    • Dusting

    • Cleaning of toilets and washroom facilities

  • Use cleaning tools, equipment, and machinery safely and as trained

  • Handle and apply cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH guidelines

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service

  • Ensure all work is completed within the allocated timeframe

Working Pattern & Annual Leave

  • This is a term‑time only position

  • You will be paid a monthly salary based on 40.2 working weeks plus 5.6 weeks annual leave

  • Annual leave cannot be taken during term time and must be taken within school holidays

Are you willing to undergo a DBS check (or equivalent) as this role involves working in a school environment?
Do you have any unspent convictions?
Is there anything that will appear on your DBS check? Failure to disclose this could result in your application being rejected.
