Mobile Cleaning Operative – Job Description 

Location:Wolverhampton/StaffordshireHours: 

  • Monday–Friday: Various hours as required including am and pm Total:20hr Contract Type: Part time, Permanent Work Location: Various On-site (client premises) 

 

Role Overview 

An exciting new vacancy has arisen for a Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our team and provide a high quality cleaning service at one of our client sites in Telford. You will work independently on site, supported by a highly experienced facilities team who will ensure you have everything you need to succeed. 

Your role is essential to delivering a first class customer experience and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. Providing support for planned holiday cover, vacancies and unplanned sick leave. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Carry out all aspects of general cleaning, including:  

  • Mopping 

  • Vacuuming 

  • Dusting 

  • Cleaning of toilets and washroom facilities 

  • Use cleaning tools, equipment, and machinery safely and as trained 

  • Handle and apply cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH guidelines 

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service 

  • Ensure all work is completed within the allocated timeframe and as per the role being covered

Experience in cleaning or facilities is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.

What Cleaning tasks are you familiar with?
Cleaning roles often require working independently. Are you comfortable working alone?
Are you able to provide all right to work documents, i.e. passport, or birth certificate with proof on national insurance number. If none UK passport a share code will be required.
If you are successful, you will be required to provide identity documents to complete a DBS check. Are you able to provide the necessary documentation?
Have you previously worked in a school or similar environment?
Are you comfortable working around children and following safeguarding procedures?
Have you received any training related to safeguarding or working in environments with children/vulnerable adults?
Do you understand what a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is and why it’s required in a school setting?
Are you willing to undergo a DBS check (or equivalent) as this role involves working in a school environment?
Do you have any unspent convictions?
Is there anything that will appear on your DBS check? Failure to disclose this could result in your application being rejected.
